Oh boy! The people on twitter dismay me! We are just a point off the top in the league table. How many of you guessed that right in August? We have a manager who is exceptionally experienced. He knows how to win the league. He has already done that thrice against arguably the best manager in English football.
A naive eye can only see crisis. Our squad is too thin – fans often complain during this part of season. I would say that we are walking on a tight rope which is thick. That means we have some solid back-ups if our starters are injured or suspended.
Ok lets begin with our Defence:
Players in squad:

I think none of us have to complain in this department. So lets move on to mid-field.
Our formation has been 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 . Some of us may be worried about our mid-field. Now that Flamini is suspended and new boy Kim is injured we may instantly feel gloomy. But lets see the actual picture.
|7||Tomas Rosickey||Almost Fit|
|10||Jack Wilshere||Almost Fit|
In the 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 formation we need at least two holding mid fielders. Our holding mid-fielders would ideally be Wilshere and Flamini. Now that Flamini is suspended Wilshere may be rushed into the starting eleven. Considering his injury-history I think that he may not be rushed. So that leaves us with a fit group of: Arteta, Ozil, Cazorla and Zelalem. This would be a big opportunity for Zelalem to step into the boots of Wilshere. Cesc did that effectively when Vieira was injured. I hope he can live up to all thehype surrounding him. So what people call as a crisis may really be the dawn of a new hero. I am pretty confident that Arteta and Zelalem can hold our mid-field till any one of Wilshere or Flamini returns.
In the attacking mid-field role I believe we have enough blubber. There is Ozil and Cazorla. Both can play either in central or wide areas. Plus there are Rosicky and Ramsey. I think many of us have noticed the resurgence of Cazorla. He is brimming with confidence and popping up with few important goals.
There is enough cushion on the wings. There is Ox, Gnabry, Podolski and one of Cazorla and Ozil. Plus we find Monreal or Gibbs playing in that area when needed.
In the recent past we have seen one of our strikers (I really don’t want to take his name! Curse him!!) had been extremely consistent through out the season. So I don’t understand why Giroud can’t emulate him. Time and again Bendtner has proved his quality in the dying seconds of a match. The added positive is that we are not a one-man team. So as long as we have one of target man fit we can score goals.
I believe this season is THE season. We are just fine with the current crop pf players. Just jettison all the cynicism that Jan 31st has brought. Bring it on Palace. We are gonna spank you!
